Burcu: “The subject of the settlement process is Turkish and Greek Cypriots”

Presidential Spokesperson Barış Burcu stated that the subject of the settlement process is Turkish and Greek Cypriots. Burcu attended a programme on Genç TV. Responding to the questions whether the Turkish Cypriot side was informed about the meeting between the leader of the Greek Cypriot Administration Nikos Anastasiades and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu as it alleged in the press, Burcu said that the subject of the settlement process is Turkish and Greek Cypriots.

Moreover, Burcu said: “The solution process of the Cyprus problem is carried out under the leadership of the elected leaders of both communities by the negotiating teams of both sides on the basis of the Joint Declaration of 11 February 2014”.
