The Minister of National Education, Nazım Çavuşoğlu attended the 9th Meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.
Addressing the meeting, which focused on educational cooperation among member states, Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Turkish Cypriots have always been an integral part of the Turkic world, through their common cultural heritage and close ties.
According to information provided by the Ministry of National Education, Minister Çavuşoğlu was accompanied during the meetings by Behcet Çelebi, Head of the Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department, and Tahir Osman Tahir, the TRNC Representative to Bishkek; the meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr Aykut Hocan, President of the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK).
