2 December, 2016The Fifth Joint Strategic Planning Group Meeting, a sub-organ of the Turkish-Russian High Level Cooperation Council (HLCC), was held in Alanya under the joint chairmanship of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his counterpart Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The two Ministers also signed the 2017-2018 Consultative Action Plan.
Speaking at a joint press conference, Çavuşoğlu stated that he informed Lavrov about the latest developments in Cyprus.
Çavuşoğlu added: “We also evaluated regional issues today. Indeed, if Turkey and Russia act together, we can solve many problems. I gave information about recent developments in Cyprus. Russia’s support is important here.”
