5 February, 2018The cabinet of the new four-party coalition government has been presented to President Mustafa Akıncı by the leader of the Republican Turkish Party this morning, following the signing of the agreement for the new government.
The General Council of the Assembly of the Republic will convene to receive the new cabinet today at 13.00, following President Akıncı having given his approval.
A handover ceremony will be held at the Prime Ministry during which CTP leader Tufan Erhürman will take over duties from UBP leader Hüseyin Özgürgün at 14.00 today. Another handover ceremony will take place today at 15.00 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Ministry of Education at 15.30.
