Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Özersay in New York

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay, who will attend the meetings of the United Nations and some international organizations, has travelled to New York.

Özersay will meet with the foreign ministers of some states and the senior officials of the United Nations within the framework of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He will also attend the meetings of some international organizations in which the TRNC is an observer member.

Özersay, who will represent the TRNC as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will deliver a speech at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to be organized within the scope of the United Nations General Assembly, and at the Annual Coordination Meetings of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Özersay will also give interviews to various international press and broadcasting organizations on the recent issues of energy and security in the Eastern Mediterranean region as well as on the Cyprus issue within the scope of his visit.

Özersay held his first meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu yesterday evening (23rd September) in New York.

The TRNC Undersecretary of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Güneş Onar, is also accompanying Özersay during his contacts in New York.
