13 June, 2019President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that they would not allow any steps in Mediterranean which will not assure the rights and benefits of Turkish Cypriots and Turkey. Erdoğan also underlined that Turkey now has four ships for hydrocarbon drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, which is the first in Turkey’s history, and noted that the drilling activities have been continuing with the presence of the Turkish Naval Forces while providing the security in the area.
