Greek Cypriot daily Fileleftheros wrote that the European Commission will appoint officials to the Turkish Cypriot community attached to the EU general directorates considered as “focal points” in order to assume the tasks of presenting the EU norms.
Repeating that the main objective of all these efforts is to regulate the Turkish Cypriot compliance with the EU norms without experiencing any delays in case of a possible solution, the newspaper said that the inclusion of the general directorates in the alignment of the Turkish Cypriots to the EU norms is necessary.
According to the news, the general directorate officials who will undertake the duty of ensuring compliance of the Turkish Cypriots with the EU norms, will travel to Cyprus and will be in contact with the Turkish Cypriot community.
