Turkey- EU Partnership council is satisfied with the restart of negotiations

20 May, 2015Turkish Presidency Deputy Secretary General and Spokesman Ambassador İbrahim Kalın stated that not only Turkish side ,but also Greek side must be in a sincere effort at the negotiations and they support the positive climate of the negotiations so far, and also they will continue to support the negotiation process and stand by the Turkish Cypriot people from now on.
Kalın reminded at the press conference that elected President Mustafa Akıncı and Greek Leader Nikos Anastasiadis had two meetings and one of them is official, for the resumption of the negotiations. Kalın stated that Turkey which is a guarantor and have a very special relationship with TRNC, stand by the Turkish Cypriot people and said: “We continue to take the necessary steps so that 2015 will be the year of resolution because negotiations cannot continue forever in Cyprus.” he said.
