Those who were martyred in Küçük Kaymaklı during the years of the struggle for existence of the Turkish Cypriot people and Martyr Hüseyin Ruso who was one of the symbols of the struggle, were commemorated.

The first ceremony was held at the Küçük Kaymaklı Martyrs Monument within the scope of the 21-25 December National Struggle and Martyrs Week.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar said, “The genocides, migrations and pains we have experienced are still in the most exceptional place of our hearts” and wished mercy to the martyrs on the 59th anniversary of 1963 events.
