New arrangements for entering the TRNC

According to the written statement from the Ministry of Health, as of the 5 September 2020 the requirements for the PCR tests to enter the TRNC have changed. The new requirements for Group A countries arriving via Greek Cypriot Administration are negative PCR tests which must have been done within the last 72 hours.
As underlined in the statement, passengers from Group B and C countries, on arrival in the TRNC must present negative PCR tests done within last 0-120 hours. However, passengers from Group B countries will be subject to a mandatory 7-day quarantine and passengers from Group C countries will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
Those students who come to the TRNC for their higher education will also be isolated in dormitories or hotels designated by the University for 7 days.
The quarantine conditions of those who go abroad for health reasons will be evaluated if they apply to the Ministry of Health.
For those coming from category C countries, the quarantine period will be 14 days in quarantine centres.
Some changes have been made regarding the duration of the PCR test required upon entry into the country.
Accordingly, those who enter the country via South Cyprus from Group A countries will be able to enter the TRNC without quarantine with a negative PCR test result done in the last 72 hours. Those who will come to the TRNC from Groups B and C countries will be able to enter the country by presenting a negative PCR test result, which has been done within 0-120 hours before the date of boarding. However, those coming from countries in Group B will be subject to a mandatory 7-day quarantine as stated above, and those coming from countries in Group C will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
