Onar holds contacts in New York

The President’s Special Representative Güneş Onar met with Anna M. Evstigneeva, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN) and Oliver Hoehne, Deputy Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the UN during his visit to New York for the 80^th Session of the UN General Assembly.

The meetings focused on the informal summits convened earlier this year by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, which were attended by ministers from both sides as well as the Guarantor States.

In additions, discussions were held regarding the tripartite meeting to be hosted by the UN Secretary-General at the UN Headquarters on Saturday, 27^th September 2025, with participation of President Ersin Tatar and Greek Cypriots Leader Nikos Christodoulides.
