11 May, 2017Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün has stated that it has become clear an agreement will not be reached in Cyprus, and added that the Turkish Cypriot people should continue on their own way.
Speaking at a visit, Prime Minister Özgürgün said that organizations place great importance on the Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for existence. Pointing out that this political struggle still continues, Özgürgün stated that as an agreement is unlikely to be reached, the Turkish Cypriot people should continue along their own path independently. Özgürgün said that despite the long-running negotiation process, a solution has not been reached – even at the five-party conference this year. He added that Turkish Cypriots are ready to face a political struggle in order to end this uncertainty.
