31 May, 2016Making a statement to the Greek Cypriot daily Kathimerini newspaper, Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün said that the elections in the Greek Cypriot side are determining behaviour of the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades.
The newspaper reported that Özgürgün inter-related the developments on the Cyprus issue and the results of the elections in the Greek Cypriot side and he also stated that the behaviour of Anastasiades was conducted by the results of the elections.
According to the news Özgürgün mentioned that strengthening of the small formations of the right wing in the Greek Cypriot side made Anastasiades’ job more difficult and added that Anastasiades had no other choice except focusing on being re-elected as the President. Özgürgün added that is why the Cyprus issue entered into a new recession.
