15 October, 2018Three MPs who participated in the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, representing the TRNC Assembly, attended the “Cyprus Facilitators Group” meeting.
Republican Turkish Party Lefkoşa Deputy Fikri Toros, National Unity Party Gazimağusa Deputy Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu and People’s Party Girne Deputy Erek Çağatay participated in the meeting held within the framework of the General Assembly.
It was stated that at the meeting they exchanged views and discussed how to overcome the deadlock on the Cyprus issue after the negotiations in Crans-Montana and they put forward their intention that the negotiations should aim to be result-oriented and to conclude in a short period of time.
