President Erhürman: “We will meet with Christodoulides in the coming weeks”

President Tufan Erhürman stated that he would meet with Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides in the coming weeks. He noted that during their recent telephone conversation, both sides had agreed to hold a meeting accompanied with their respective representatives, without the involvement of the United Nations (UN).

Erhürman stated that the date of the meeting had not yet been determined yet, adding that they had agreed that he would inform Christodoulides of the date later.

President Erhürman pointed out that they were in contact with the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Representative Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar and that they would be able to meet with her on 5 December.

During the meeting, Erhürman expressed that he had shared his views on the technical committees, adding that result-oriented approach would be adopted in the work of the 13 committees currently in progress.
