7 July, 2023TRNC President Ersin Tatar delivered a speech during a conference at Cambridge University in London themed “The Proposed Way Forward in Cyprus”.
According to the information by the TRNC Presidency, the conference was organised by the Cambridge University Turkish Community and attended by students and academicians.
President Tatar emphasised at the conference that “equal, sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot side is essential for a sustainable agreement in Cyprus”.
In his speech at the conference, Tatar called on the UK to adopt a new approach on the Cyprus issue and to pioneer on equal status, equal opportunity and equal treatment for the Turkish Cypriot people while fulfilling its obligations as a guarantor power.
