14 June, 2016The Turkish Ministry of Economy held its 9th Education Program for the Turkish Republics and Relative Communities between 22 May and 5 June 2016. Officials of the Trade Office under the TRNC Economy and Energy Ministry, Arif Alibaş and Hüseyin Pirgot represented the TRNC.
The event promoted economic and commercial relations between Turkey and its partners, including the TRNC. It focused on foreign trade applications, contracting and logistics sectors, manufacturing strategy for exports and investment promotions in Turkey. Issues relating to foreign direct investment inflow, Turkey-EU relations, free trade agreements and foreign trade analysis were debated as well. The delegates also analysed free trade zones and the organised industrial zones in Ankara, Bursa and Eskişehir.
Other attendees at the event included trade professionals from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova and all participants were presented with certificates by Turkish Ministry of Economy at the end of the workshop.
