Provocative action against Turkish side on EOKA’s anniversary

A provocative incident occured on the anniversary of the establishment of the EOKA terror organization involving a group of Greek Cypriots targeting civilians at the Yiğitler Bastion in the Turkish  Republic of Northern Cyprus.

At noon yesterday, twelve Greek Cypriots arrived at the western side of Yiğitler Bastion Park, threw stones at civilians in the area and engaged in provocative actions.

Following the incident, the authorities of the TRNC increased security measures at the border.
