20 April, 2015It’s been notified that the Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the British Sovereign Base in Cyprus should be closed and other bases should be opened.
Greek Phileleftheros newspaper wrote that according to “Ta Nea” newspaper’s news pervious day when Anastasiadis was in Athens, Tsipras and Kocas met with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and they thanked Russia for the support to the Cyprus Problem at the UN Security Council. It is also noted that Lavrov said at the meeting that the British Sovereign Base in Cyprus should be closed and other bases should be opened.
The newspaper also note that “Ta Nea” newspaper commented on the words of Lavrov about the ‘other bases’ as being Russian military bases.
