31 March, 2016The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz said that the reunification of Cyprus has become a realistic possibility and this historic chance can be grasped.
Stating that the parties should take the right steps towards each other in order to reach a consensus in the negotiations, Schulz noted that the fate of Cypriots should no longer be dependent on the details. Schulz said: “If reunification reaches success, all Cypriots will take advantage from this situation as politically, scientifically and culturally.”
He ended his words by emphasizing that the EU will and should support reunified Cyprus.
