1 September, 2015It was stated that the Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyannis had a secret meeting with DIKO’s former leader Marios Karoyan and the intra-party opposition wing and informed them about the negotiations. It was noted that this meeting with the dissidents disturbed the current administration of DIKO.
According to the Greek Cypriot daily Politis, Mavroyannis particularly called the intra-party opposition members to the meeting which was held at DIKO’s former leader Karoyan’s office. During the meeting, Mavroyannis informed about the latest developments on the Cyprus problem and exchanged views regarding establishing a new party under the head of Karoyan.
