15 July, 2019Turkey gave full support to the TRNC’s cooperation proposal submitted to the Greek Cypriot side to explore and operate hydrocarbon reserves around the Island of Cyprus.
In the written statement of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, it was stated: “It has been noted that TRNC President Mustafa Akıncı submitted a comprehensive cooperation proposal to the Greek Cypriot side through the UN to explore and operate hydrocarbon reserves around Cyprus. We welcome this cooperation proposal and give full support for the proposal”.
