Oktay: “EU is confined by the foreign policies of Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration”

Minister for the Economy and Energy, Hasan Taçoy attended the 42nd Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Istanbul.
According to information released by the Ministry of Economy and Energy, in his speech at the meeting, Taçoy addressed the impact of direct trade and transport restrictions on the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) economy and urged member states to take concrete steps.
Expressing his gratitude to the Republic of Türkiye, the COMCEC Secretariat and all countries that contributed to the process, Taçoy emphasized that the TRNC closely follows COMCEC’s activities as an observer, “We believe that these efforts contribute not only to economic growth but also to streghting mutual trust and solidarity” he said.
