CTP General President Mehmet Ali Talat stated that the continuation of the federal state depends on the rotating Presidency and cross voting.
Emphasizing that the Cyprus issue came out from administration and power sharing disagreements not from the property issue, Talat said that he believed that many chapters are almost completed, there will not be many problems after the criteria which will be determined on the property issue and he also stated that a referendum may be held before May 2016.
Stating that the Cyprus issue acquired a different dimension at this stage, Talat mentioned that the Greek Cypriot side demands a solution to the Cyprus issue for the first time.
Stating that the rotating Presidency shows the political equality, Talat said that cross voting is different and these two factors shouldn’t be seen as being related.
