23 November, 2020Expressing his happiness for the success of Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, President Ersin Tatar congratulated Azerbaijan and wished further development of the TRNC-Azerbaijan relationship.
President Ersin Tatar answered the questions about the agenda and made statements on Azerbaijan TV 5 News channel.
Tatar said, “We are very glad that the Azeri Army took back our lands in Karabakh. The long-standing suffering was overcome and Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenia were reclaimed. I wish mercy to those who were martyred there”.
Criticizing the silence of international institutions and organizations regarding the massacre of the civilian population in Azerbaijan, the President emphasized that foreign states will not be allowed to act unfairly against the Turkish states for their religious unity and common interests and said, “We shall continue our struggle on our just causes”.
Stressing the strength that emerged from the unity of a strong Turkey, Azerbaijan, a state with great potential and the TRNC which is an important state in the Eastern Mediterranean, Tatar said “We are on the right path. These days are more important than the past because of the discovery of hydrocarbon wealth. I have full faith that we will achieve great success together. It is important that we act together with the logic of “one nation, 3 states”.
Stating that more than a thousand Azerbaijanis live in the TRNC, Tatar noted that we have to stand together.
