TEKNOFEST TRNC opens its doors

TEKNOFEST TRNC organized in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the first time this year officially opened yesterday under the auspices of the TRNC Presidency and coordinated by Türkiye’s Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3).

TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, welcomed visitors at the old Ercan Airport in Lefkoşa, TRNC at 09:00 yesterday morning.

The festival, which will run from May 1^st to 4^th, offers participants unforgettable experience with a variety of innovative events. The official opening ceremony was attended by President Ersin Tatar along with senior officials from both the TRNC and Türkiye.

During the festival, visitors will be able to witness a wide range of activities including aircraft exhibition, planetarium shows, pedal-powered flight activities to stage shows and the “First Flight” event where students will experience flying for the first time, as well as concerts.

Prepared within the scope of TEKNOFEST TRNC, the Cyprus Peace Operation Experience Area has been one of the most popular areas of the festival so far, which takes visitors on historical journey through the of the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation, allowing them to relive critical moments through a symbolic jump simulation.

Additionally, the Extended Reality (XR) Experience Area offers visitors an interactive scientific journey with six different XR technologies.
