The dispute amongst Greek Cypriot politicians following reports of increased passenger traffic at Ercan Airport is continuing. The Greek Cypriot Fileleftheros newspaper reported that DISI leader Averof Neofitu and DIKO leader Nikolas Papadopulu have been involved in the ongoing argument for the two days and strong divisions have been experienced between the two party leaders.

According to the news, DIKO’s statement regarding its proposal to introduce administrative sanctions and implementation of the EU norms was rejected by AKEL and DISI, which caused a backlash from Neofitu and his party.
