President Mustafa Akıncı and the leader of Greek Cypriot administration Nikos Anastasiadis are meeting on Friday within the framework of resumption of the Cyprus negotiations which were suspended since October last year. The meeting will start at the buffer zone at the premises of UNFICYP’s Mission of Good Office at 10:00.

According to the statement of UNFICYP, UN Secretary-General’s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide is coming to Cyprus today in order to support the resumption of the negotiations. Eide will stay in the island for holding contacts until 17 May.
