The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was represented by the Department of Culture at the Turkic World Publishing Congress, held from 27 March to Sunday in Ankara, designated as the 2026 Turkic World Tourism Capital by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.
According to information provided by the Department of Culture, Ceyhan Özyıldız, Director of the Cultural Centre, attended the Congress, whilst Nahide Merlen, Director of Işık Publishing House, who was invited through the Department of Culture, was also present.
The congress brought together 140 stakeholders from the publishing sector, with participants representing Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Moldova, Iran, Iraq and Germany.
