“Turkish Cypriot Champion Angels Village” to be built

A protocol was signed between the TRNC Government and the Turkish Cypriot Solidarity Platform on Monday (13 February 2023).

Within the scope of the protocol, the government will support the Turkish Cypriot Solidarity Platform formed aiming for relief after the earthquake disaster in Türkiye. The donations collected by the Prime Ministry and the Platform will be gathered and a village consisting of 1000 container houses will be built for those affected by the devastating earthquake in Türkiye.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel proposed that the village to be built in the region, which will be determined by the Republic of Türkiye, should be named as “the Turkish Cypriot Champion Angels Village”.
