18 June, 2018Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has stressed that Turkey will never be forced into concessions on the Aegean and Cyprus issue, and that the rights of the TRNC and Turkish Cypriot people will be defended forever.
Çavuşoğlu added: “We are also starting drilling activities around Cyprus. Turkey now has its own drillship and our capacity is huge. You know that we blocked some unilateral drilling activities. We will not let anyone be unfair to the Turkish Cypriot people’s economic rights in terms of natural gas and petrol and the wealth around the island.”
