Çınarlı Martyrs commemorated

A commemorative ceremony was held at the Çınarlı Martyrs’ Memorial to honor the eight people who lost their lives for their community and homeland in Çınarlı between 1958 and 1974.

Speakers at the ceremony, underlined the importance of passing on the spirit of the Turkish Cypriot national struggle to future generations and while recalling the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Çınarlı, highlighted their significant place in Turkish Cypriot history.

During the ceremony, it was emphasized that honoring the memory of martrys is a collective social responsibility.
