7 September, 2016The Agriculture and Natural Resources Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu stated that the rights of Turkish Cypriots under to the Green Line Regulation should be properly implemented.
Minister Çavuşoğlu said that potato producers are right to have concerns, especially considering the incident that occurred in South Cyprus recently, in which a Greek Cypriot trader was protested for importing potatoes from the North.
Yeşilada, Chairman of the Potato Producers’ Union, stated that Turkish Cypriots want to implement the Direct Trade Regulation in order to sell their products freely via North Cyprus ports, as they experience difficulties with the Green Line Regulation.
