Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar stated that Turkey will never allow the violation of its own law and rights and also the rights of its Cypriot brothers.

Akar made a statement to the Editor’s Desk of the Anadolu Agency (AA) about the agenda and answered questions.

Upon a question of the purpose of reconciliation between Turkey and Libya, Akar reiterated that Libya and Turkey have past cultural and historical ties.

Underlining that Turkey supports good neighbour relations in the Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus, Akar added:

“In this regard, unfortunately, we see some prejudice in our interlocutors regarding the sharing of the hydrocarbon resources as well as sharing the associated maritime benefits. We will not let them. Turkey will never allow the violation of its own law and rights and also the rights of its Cypriot brothers. We will never tolerate a fait accompli in any way. On the other hand, we want everyone to know that the solution processes in which Turkey is not included will in no way be valid.
