25 November, 2016President Mustafa Akıncı had a telephone conversation yesterday evening with US Vice President Joe Biden. Akıncı conveyed the latest developments in Mont Pelerin and the position of the Turkish Cypriot side.
During the conversation, President Akıncı also emphasised that the determination and political will of the Turkish Cypriot side continues.
Akıncı also had a phone call with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon last night during which they discussed the negotiation process in Mont Pelerin.
It was also noted that Akıncı talked about the positive steps and constructive attitude of the Turkish Cypriot side and renewed his determination for a solution in 2016.
President Mustafa Akıncı will today inform the General Council of the Parliament about the latest developments in the negotiations.
