Akıncı: “We are not searching for an interim agreement”

11 October, 2016President Mustafa Akıncı travelled to İstanbul yesterday in order to attend the 23rd World Energy Congress upon the invitation of the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Congress will be held in İstanbul between 9-13 October, at the İstanbul Congress Center (ICC) and the Lütfi Kırdar Congress Center (ICEC).
Economy and Energy Minister Sunat Atun will also attend the Congress, where he will meet with Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister, Berat Albayrak.
Under the theme of “Embracing New Frontiers”, the Congress offers a unique opportunity for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective. The event will bring together more than 10,000 world leaders and experts in the energy sector, with participants coming from the industry, governments, and international organizations, as well as the media, universities and energy industry associations.
