20 June, 2017Emphasizing that the Turkish Cypriot people’s strong determination for a settlement still continues, President Mustafa Akıncı stated that they will attend the Conference on Cyprus with determination and goodwill.
President Akıncı received a delegation from the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. Speaking during the reception, President Akıncı discussed the latest developments on the negotiation process and evaluated the upcoming Cyprus Conference that will take place in Crans–Montana, Switzerland.
Stating that the Turkish Cypriot side will sit at the negotiating table with the determination to reach a federal settlement based on the equality of the two constituent states, Akıncı expressed that a settlement can be reached if the other side shows the same political will.
