The Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage has carried out conservation, restoration and landscaping work at numerous Turkish cemeteries and martyrdoms in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. (GCA)
According to a statement issued by the Cyprus Evkaf Administration (EVKAF), restoration and landscaping works aimed at preserving historic Turkish cemeteries and martyrdoms are continuing with the support of the EVKAF and through cooperation among relevant institutions.
The statement noted that the project which covers approximately 70 cemeteries across the island and is being implemented in phases, will be expanded to additional areas under the GCA, beginning with the Turkish cemeteries in the Limassol region.
