15 January, 2019The Late Leader of the Turkish Cypriot People’s struggle for freedom and existence Dr. Fazıl Küçük is being remembered today on the 35th anniversary of his death. The first ceremony was organized at Dr. Fazıl Küçük’s mausoleum at Anıttepe at 10:27 today. The ceremony started with President Mustafa Akıncı’s laying the wreath on the mausoleum. The flag was lowered to half-mast. The memorial book was also signed at the ceremony.
The ceremony was ended with the speech of President Mustafa Akıncı.
The second ceremony for the late leader was held at the Atatürk Cultural Centre in Lefkoşa.
An exhibition title “ Dr. Fazıl Küçük And National Struggle” was also opened at the Atatürk Cultural Centre at the Near East University.
