24 October, 2017A group of people reached Girne port in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Monday with the dual aims of promoting the TRNC and making charity donations.
“The Robinson Club” group, whose members are 60 years and over, started its journey two weeks ago from Belgium and reached Girne with the slogan “Expedition North Cyprus.” Their aim was to deliver 1,300 dolls for children to the Red Cross in Zagreb, Croatia, donate a collection of toys to a children’s home in Bulgaria and to donate 5,000 euros to the Children’s Home in Lefkoşa, in the TRNC.
The “Expedition North Cyprus” bus started its journey from Vorselaan, Belgium and travelled to Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. The group also distributed “Expedition North Cyprus” printed t-shirts on its way.
