26 May, 2016Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary General Farhan Haq stated that they have not received any official information regarding Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Anastasiades not attending the leaders meeting on Friday 27th May.
Haq expressed: “We have not received any official information on that issue. The UN Secretary General wants to emphasize that both leaders showed great courage and determination during the peace process, and encourages the leaders to double their efforts in the following months.”
