20 April, 2017The Ministry of National Education and Culture has condemned the Greek Cypriot Administration for preventing children who came to the island via South Cyprus from attending the 19th International Children’s Festival in the TRNC.
A statement issued by the ministry stated, “It was difficult to understand efforts to sabotage such a meaningful and important day dedicated to children all around the world without discrimination of language, religion, colour and race, with narrow-minded attitudes.”
The statement mentioned that the Greek Cypriot Administration uses every platform or event to exhibit its intolerance, anger and prejudice towards Turkish Cypriots. It added that this should be understood by the world, and that a necessary response should be given as soon as possible.
