15 February, 2017Yesterday’s scheduled meeting of negotiators Özdil Nami and Andreas Mavroyannis was cancelled due to the developments after the decision of the Greek Cypriot parliament to mark the 1950 Enosis Plebiscite at Greek Cypriot schools. The last meeting of the negotiators was held last week on Tuesday and the two negotiators were supposed to meet yesterday in order to make preparations for the leaders’ meeting. The meeting between the two leaders on Thursday has not yet been confirmed. President Akıncı has noted that he would wait to see the response by the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades ahead of their scheduled meeting on Thursday.
