President Erhürman receives Turkish Vice President Yılmaz

President Tufan Erhürman received the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, Cevdet Yılmaz on Friday at the Presidency in Lefkoşa.

Following the meeting, which first took place between delegations and then held privately, Erhürman and Yılmaz made statements.

President Erhürman emphasized that ‘the relationship between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Republic of Türkiye does not in any way resemble, nor can it be compared, to relations between any other two States’, drawing attention to the importance of regular dialogue and consultation.

Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, Cevdet Yılmaz, expressed his pleasure at visiting the Presidency once again and stated that the relations between the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are “truly exceptional” adding that the meetings held within this framework are always constructive and valuable.
