TRNC President Ersin Tatar issued a message of condolences on Thursday for the three Turkish soldiers killed in a terror attack in the Operation Pençe-Yıldırım zone in northern Iraq.

In a statement expressing his condolences to the families of the soldiers as well as the Turkish nation, President Ersin Tatar said that he was fully convinced the Turkish Armed Forces will be successful in its operations aimed at neutralizing Turkey’s borders from terrorist elements.

Tatar said “I have learned with regret that 3 hero Turkish soldiers were martyred as a result of the treacherous attack by terrorists. I commemorate those who were martyred in this event that created great sadness, and offer my condolences to their grieving families and the Turkish nation, on behalf of myself and my country.”
