10 April, 2026Presidential Undersecretary Mehmet Dânâ held official meetings in the presence of the European Union (EU) in Brussels.
Dânâ met with political representatives, cabinet members, and senior officials from the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the European Council.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, Dânâ briefed officials on the confidence-building measures and the position of the Turkish Cypriot side regarding the Cyprus issue. He also discussed additional matters during the meetings with the Commission’s Directorates-General, including halloumi, the initiative by the Greek Cypriot side regarding the registration of red soil potatoes, issues related to the Green Line Regulation, and the application of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus to join the Schengen Area.
Dânâ also held consultations with Ambassador Yaprak Balkan, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the EU.
Following his contacts in Brussels, Dânâ travelled to Paris, where he met with officials from the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
