We strongly condemn the drone attacks carried out today (March 5) against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
We emphasise that such attacks, which target third countries not involved in the war in our region and increase the risk of the conflict spreading, must cease immediately. We draw attention to the importance of avoiding any steps which would further escalate tensions.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will continue to stand by its friend and brother, Azerbaijan, as it has always done.
