Taşkent Martyrs Commemorated

The Taşkent martyrs were commemorated with a ceremony held on August 15.

In his remarks at the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar stated that they will never forget the past and the martyrs, and that they will remember them eternally.

The ceremony held at the Taşkent Martyrs Monument was attended by President Ersin Tatar, Speaker of the TRNC Assembly Ziya Öztürkler, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa Ali Murat Başçeri, Commander of the Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus Major General Sebahattin Kılınç, Commander of the Security Forces Major General İlker Görgülü, several ministers and members of parliament, as well as representatives of institutions, associations, political parties, military officials and the families of the martyrs.
