The Taşkent martyrs were commemorated yesterday. (15/08/2024)

Speaking during the ceremony, President Ersin Tatar stated that it was the Greek Cypriot police and military who massacred the civilian population and said: ‘In order not to experience such pain again in Cyprus, we need to defend the red lines that we care about in unity and solidarity until the end.’

The President also emphasized that the families of the martyrs have suffered unceasing pain for 50 years and wished patience to the families.
