18 July, 2017Stating that Turkey has put forth its stance towards finding a solution to the Cyprus problem, Turkish Minister of National Defence Fikri Işık stressed that Turkey will continue in its own way, and will not make any concessions over the Turkish Cypriot people’s national interests in Cyprus.
In a speech made at the General Council of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Işık said “Turkey has proven right once more in the presence of all countries that attended the negotiations and the UN Security Council. The negotiations have ended. Turkey will continue along its own path by not making any concessions over the Turkish Cypriot people’s national interests. This is the policy of our government and state”.
